I did something tonight that I don’t get to do very often . . . I went to see a great play.
The story is elegant, simple: A quiet Shaker village is rocked by controversy. Some of the members have started to see visions. And the community is shaken to its roots by the power that has descended upon them.
The staging is beautiful. The performances are outstanding. The script is excellent. There’s music and dancing and laughter and sadness and some of the richest, most moving theatre I have seen . . . ever.
I couldn’t help but cry at the beauty of it all.
This is something special. This is something worth seeing.
