The typos caught by spellcheckers can be particularly evocative. This morning, “synamic” was flagged (should have been “dynamic”).
The suggested correction was “syngamic”, which I immediately looked up. Hmmm. Not nearly as interesting as it first appeared, but it’s not often I learn a new word that I can drop into all those casual conversations I have with geneticists.
I rather like “synamic” however. There’s an opportunity to create a new bit of business jargon, if I was so inclined.
