“All things change, and we change with them.”

Please note that this blog spans a broad period of time. The intervening years have brought many things into my life, including divorce and remarriage. As such, some older posts reference a relationship which is no longer active. In context, however, the portrayal is accurate.

For many reasons, I have chosen to let entries such as this one remain in the overall continuity of the site.

Phone rings at the office and it’s Sandberg asking if we’re evacuating to the basement.

“Why?”

“There’s a tornado warning. I’m heading over to pick up the kids and take Sam to the orthodontist.”

I go up and talk to Tracy. She pulls up doppler radar and says “It’s way south of us. So we’re probably okay, I guess.”

Uh huh.

“I don’t know what you guys are gonna do but I got shotgun on that column,” says one of the guys I work with when I tell him. He points to a large structural beam in the center of the office. “Rest of you are on your own.”

Back to work…
