My First Podcast
I wasn’t so sure about this Podcast thing. It seemed like most things as a fairly interesting bandwagon that a lot of people, companies, narcissists, and other subliminal celebrities were jumping on . . . which is usually what makes me say “Mm, you guys go on ahead. I think I’ll catch the next one.”
I listen to a lot of NPR. I don’t necessarily think of this as a virtue or a fault. It’s just what I do when I’m driving or cleaning house or doing dishes or whatever — when I’m not listening to my iPod, that is.
But I know the shows, especially the weekend ones. This American Life, The Splendid Table, and Michael Feldman are my favorites. Close behind are Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me, The Next Big Thing, and Studio 360.
But I don’t get Car Talk. I just don’t.
Turns out Neil Gaiman was on Studio 360 last week. I didn’t hear it . . . but there’s a Podcast.
Which is what I’ll probably be listening to when Keeley and I drive to Detroit to see MirrorMask tomorrow.
Or maybe I’ll save it and we’ll just listen to the radio instead.
(The title of this post in no way meant to imply that I have recorded my first podcast. Yet.)
