Lots of developments over the past few days…
First off, the podcasting is underway. The first ten chapters or so — read by the author — are available for download from iTunes. It’s a free download, (although do not neglect to note the donate button down there in the lower right hand corner of this page). More chapters will follow weekly, every Sunday evening. Give it a listen, won’t you? And let me know what you think.
In addition, the readers have their copies and are, so far, pretty darn quiet. But it’s not a quick read, so I’m sure they’re all so engrossed that they can hardly feed or clean themselves, let alone set it aside for even a moment to give me an update as to their overall impressions. That’s a safe assumption . . . right?
This week I start the process of sending query letters to agents. Although this is when the nightmare truly beings, I have a good list to start with and I’m optimistic that I’ll get some kind of response before I finish writing my third novel.
The second one is in progress. The second draft has had a slow start but it’s coming along.
And finally . . . in case you haven’t figured it out by now, the name of the book is “Assam & Darjeeling” — if you want to know why, you’re either going to have to start listening or wait for it to hit the shelves.
