After almost five years of writing with a fountain pen, I’ve had my first casualty. I was working at my desk and accidentally dropped the pen. the barrel caught the edge of a fairly-thick notebook and sprayed a collection of nice fat dropletss across my hand and shirt-front in a grouping that would have made Dick Cheney proud.
I’m using Private Reserve Ink (Velvet Black, in care you’re wondering) which is purportedly not permanent . . . but it looks like the cheap shirt I’m wearing is toast.
I do, however, think that there’s something very cool about the way the ink behaves when it hits your skin (well, not your skin…)
