Over here they’re doing a bit of a voting-competition-fan-favorite-thing to determine who the best comics writer is. It looks like we’re in the final heat, so there’s still time to cast your votes.

It’ll be interesting to see which way it goes in the final round. Alan Moore is a better comics writer than Neil Gaiman, but Gaiman has more (and more vocally fanatic) fans.

For the record, my votes this round were: Bendis (because of Powers), Miller (because of The Dark Knight and 300 and Ronin and Sin City and…), Gaiman (for Sandman, Violent Cases, Signal to Noise, and Death), and Moore (for Watchmen, From Hell, Swamp Thing, and V for Vendetta.)

Next round, it’ll be Alan.

(And if you haven’t read any of those books, you really should. They’re comic books, of course. But they’re those highfalutin’ “Graphic Novels” that Time Magazine and college professors say grown ups are allowed to read.)
